Recycle any PE/Athletic equipment, uniforms, etc. that can no longer be used at your school. (Balls that can still hold air will be much appreciated across the world in Africa)

Send via CBE distribution trucks (complete S-18) to Highfield Ware House, Att'n: Yvon Hotte

What happens next to equipment?:

  • Any equipment that appears quite useful will be made available to CBE schools – list of equipment will be circulated and teachers/schools can drop by Highfield to view and give another life at their school
  • Equipment that has no use within CBE will go to Kenya www.compassionafrica.ca. Our contact is John – john@changingthings.ca (John and his wife ship a cargo container of sports equipment, clothing every 2 months to Africa) Latest conversation with John indicated that they would love old uniform tops, any type of ball that can hold air, baseball bats, field hockey sticks, etc. John says, "2 out of 3 kids in Africa don't have a toy….they kick tin cans, stones, and sticks".

To meet the district’s diverse product, service and support needs the following four vendors are approved. Purchasing Services has established System Wide Orders with each of the four vendors. The information is posted in Public Folders and the CBE Website (click on Vendors under Partners).

Schools must purchase all their physical education supplies and equipment from the above vendors except for special fitness equipment and apparel. If schools are unable to obtain their requirement for these two specific areas from the above four vendors then procurements will have to be initiated with other vendors on individual Purchase Orders. Those specific purchases must strictly adhere to Administrative Regulation #7001.
