Sharing Process

Sharable resources include anything from simple assets such as digital images a teacher may have taken to use in the classroom through to a full lesson that includes interactive components and student assessment components.

The sharing process will look something like this but may difffer depending on the resources that are shared:

You may also use the following flow chart to submit a learning resource for publication:

1. Contact Curriculum and Learning Technologies about sharing a digital resource. Fill out the Contribution Form and don't forget to click on the Submit button.

What will CLT do after you contact us?

  • Describe and discuss the sharing process with you;
  • Ask you to review your learning object or asset using the digital learning object or asset standards checklist.
  • Provide support as you develop your digital learning resource.

What will CLT do as you review your learning resource?

Answer questions and provide support as you review your learning object or asset.

3. Click here to upload your files to Curriculum and Learning Technologies. If you have multiple files in your learning object please zip them before submitting. (Need help with zipping files?) Learning assets may need to be submitted individually.

What will CLT do after you submit your learning resource?

We will upload your learning object or asset to the D2L Learning Repository and begin the review process. In the review process we will do the following:
  • Review the resource to ensure that navigaton and links are working properly;
  • Submit the resource to a peer reviewers for constructive feedback regarding instructional design. Reviewers will use a list similar to the standards checklist you worked with in step 2.
  • We will inform you of any changes requested by the peer reviewers and support you in implementing changes if required.

4. Provide, with CLT support, copyright information for components of the learning resource that are not created by the author.

How will CLT support you?

We will confirm terms of use and copyright status of all componenets of the learning resource that you have not created yourself. We will need you to give us as much information as possible about where you found your resources.

5. Publication - CLT will publish the learning object or asset to the CBE Learning Repository after ensuring it meets accessibility standards.
