SMART Notebook Math Tools Software
As part of Learning Innovation’s ongoing efforts to provide the benefits to schools of volume pricing on software licenses, we are pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached for the purchase of the SMART Notebook Math Tools Software. (PC Only, Mac version to follow)
Learning innovation has purchased 1000 licenses that provide schools with the opportunity to save a considerable amount over the regular single license price.
A $149 value for $44 dollars. (This information is for CBE employees.) A must have for mathematics educators in junior and senior high, and well worth considering for science teachers.
To Order
To order SMART Math Tools software, fill out an S18 for:
SMART NBMT-100-L1000 – Math @ $44.00 per licence
Indicate the number of licenses the school requires
Include the key contact person on the S18 request
Provide Alias on S18 for payment of the licences
Authorization signature on S18
Then Fax (403 294-8434) or PDF and email Sonya Gillis slgillis@cbe.ab.ca your S18 at Learning Innovation.
With receipt of the S18 from the school, Learning Innovation will send an email to the school and to the CBE Helpdesk. The CBE Helpdesk will initiate a heat ticket for installation of the SMART Math Tools software by the Learning Technology support specialists in your school. The support specialist will ensure that the software is installed and activated and will report back the CBE Helpdesk information about the workstations on which the software was installed.
Choose the stations carefully.
From a pedagogical perspective, consider who you want to use the software, teachers, or students or both.
The SMART Notebook Math Tools Software is PC only software, not available for Macintosh computers.
- Will the teacher be able to use the software at home as well as at school on the workstation?
- Does the workstation have the most recent software updates or is it schedule to be re-imaged. If so consider re-imaging before installing the SMART Math Tools software.
Be aware that the software authenticates back to SMART Technologies, meaning that if the SMART Math Tools software needs to be re-installed numerous times in your school, it will bring into question the licensing agreement.
- If the software is being re-installed numerous times in your school, you are not making good use of your technology support specialist’s time.
