These resources come in a variety of formats for Teachers (T), Students (S) and Parents (P).

Alberta Education - Learning Resource Centre (LRC)

The LRC is dedicated to the efficient and affordable delivery of authorized resources in support of the Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum and provides a range of specialized services to enhance access to learning resources for visually impaired students. The LRC loans schools alternate format learning resources and student equipment for use by these students. Audio resources for students with perceptual disabilities may also be ordered from the LRC.

This web site allows COAC (Alberta Co-Acquisition) members to access streamed videos – all CBE teachers can request a user name and password for access. You can find hard-copies of these videos for borrowing through Media4Learning.

Learn Alberta & the Online Reference Centre (ORC)

Access to a vast number of curriculum specific digital resources including videos, online simulations, ebooks, databases and lesson plans provided by Alberta Education. Access is automatic from any CBE building - contact your school library for the current username/password to use from home.

Access within D2L for our ever growing collection of learning objects. You will find hundreds of streaming video clips, photos, lesson plans etc. Resources can be accessed via a direct LOR search (see the upper left tool bar when you log in as this not the case for all students…) or added by teachers to D2L course content.

Southern Alberta CTS Learning and Teaching Resource Review Centre

Provides an access point for CTS teachers to view Alberta Education approved print and digital resources for all five CTS clusters, as well as come together to work in sustainable communities of practice.
